For the first time, Integrated Dreams has delivered the Football For All Leadership Programme outside of Europe!
In collaboration with the U.S. Soccer Federation and its Extended National Teams Department, the programme has been adapted to the US context and rebranded “ADAPTandTHRIVE Leadership Program” under the Federation’s ADAPTandTHRIVE umbrella initiatives, for disabled US residents looking to develop a career and assume leadership positions in US Soccer.
The Programme aims to empower individuals to become advocates for inclusion and change within their soccer communities. By providing training in leadership skills, diversity awareness, and inclusive practices, it will equip participants with the tools to drive positive transformations and be catalysts for change in their respective soccer communities.
The delivery of the Programme from December 3 to 10 in Rome, GA, was possible due to the collaboration of several professionals including Matt Tanner – Same Page HR, Elijah Miranda, MPH and Chelsea Wood – Soccer in the Streets, Melissa Radke – U.S. Soccer Federation, Susannah Darrow and Mindy Schweitzer-Rawls – Purpose Possible, Julia Menefield Lankford – Laureus Sport for Good Foundation USA, Ganesh Nayak – Architect, Turan Mullins, Ed.D. – U.S. Soccer Federation, Hala Ousta – FIFA and Katherine Ward – High Point University, U.S. Soccer Federation.
In addition, at the end of the week, participants pitched their project ideas to an expert panel composed of Karin Korb – Consultant, Katherine Ward and Mikel Thomas OLY – Visa, followed by a keynote speech by Mohamed Massaquoi – VESSOL.
Participants now have 6 months to work on their project ideas with the support of Integrated Dreams and expert professionals before the final gathering in the Fall of 2024.
